Amanda Freitag

 Amanda Freitag, born May 11, 1972 was an American famous cook and cookbook author. Her appearances on Food Network and her participation as a judge on TV cooking competitions are what makes her famous. Freitag is located in New York City. She graduated in 1989 and then took on a job with Vong New York under Jean-Georges Vongerichten. She quit Vong in 1994, to join the kitchen at Verbena under the direction of Diane Forley. Freitag said that she felt important at Verbena where she established important relationships and discovered how to cook with the local, organic products. Freitag was able to spend a short time in Italy and France following her time at Verbena. She was a chef under Alain Passard at L'Arpege, which was a restaurant that established in 1999. Godfrey Polistina, a restaurateur who opened the Upper West Side restaurant Cesca Enoteca & Trattoria in 2003. 7 Freitag was the chef of cuisine at Cesca prior to his appointment as executive chef at The Harrison. [8][9The Harrison is a restaurant that was founded by Cesca. The New York Times reported on September 3, 2010, that Freitag had left The Harrison. Jimmy Bradley, The restaurant's founder, is returning as the chef. Freitag was the executive chef of the Empire Diner, Manhattan, New York, from January 2014 until July 2015. Freitag along with Kevin Lillis, of the Hospitality Alliance, opened the Dallas bistro Rise & Thyme, Texas in September of 2020.
