Alicia Amanda Vikander, /vI’kaend@r/ (listen) was born on 3 October 1988. Vikander has won numerous awards such as an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award as well as a Critics' Choice Movie Award. Her birthplace was in Gothenburg and studied as a ballet dancer at the Royal Swedish Ballet. Her acting career started with short films and a television shows in Sweden. Her first recognition came for her performance on the drama series Andra Avenyn (2008)-2010. She made her film debut in Pure (2010) in which she won the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress. In 2012, she gained more attention for her role as Kitty in Joe Wright’s adaptation of Anna Karenina. She also received the Guldbagge Award as Best Actress. In 2016, Vikander was listed by Forbes in its 30 Under 30 list. Vikander also appeared in action films Jason Bourne (2016), as Lara Croft in the adventure film Tomb Raider (2018), and in the fantasy movie The Green Knight (2021).
