Michalka was selected to play the role of Keely Tslow in the Disney Channel's Phil of the Future in 2004. The show premiered on the 18th of June, 2004. Following two seasons, the show was cancelled with Disney Channel in August 2006. Together with her sister, she appeared in the movie Now You See It ..., and in the TV film Cow Belles. Michalka as well as her sister appeared in a variety of projects that MTV as well as Disney Channel produced. They were featured in Super Sweet 16: The Movie which is an MTV film based on the MTV show My Super Sweet 16. Michalka was a part of Bandslam which was which was a Walden Media film in August 2009. 10 Michalka was named by The CW as Marti Perkins as the main character of the show's cheerleader drama Hellcats in April of 2010. Although the show had a great premiere, the ratings dropped and the show was canceled by The CW in May 2011. 11 Michalka was a guest in CSI: NY in 2011. 12 Michalka was a major supporting character in the movies Easy A (2010 and 2011) and The Roommate (2011 and 2012). Michalka played featured in Crazy Kind of Love (2013) the first independent drama film that starred Eva Longoria and Virginia Madsen.
