David Foster

 David Walter Foster OBC OC (born on November 1, 1949), is a Canadian musician and arranger. He is also an artist producer and music executive. Verve Records was his company from 2012 until 2016. With 47 nominations, he's been awarded 16 Grammy Awards. His lengthy career in music has spanned over 50 years. Foster was an instrumentalist in the popular group Skylark in the early 1970s. Eirik Wangberg discovered Foster. In 1973, the group's popular song "Wildflower" was a hit and climbed the top 10. Foster, Jay Graydon and Foster formed Airplay following the disbanding of the group. Foster was part of George Harrison's album from 1975 Extra Texture. Foster followed that album with the Fender Rhodes, clavinet and the clavinet on Harrison's album Thirty Three and 1/3. Foster was part of Guthrie Thomas' second Capitol Records album Lies and Alibis in 1976. He also played alongside Ringo Starr as well as other musicians. Foster was a major participant on the 1979 Earth, Wind and Fire album I Am. He was also a musician and arranger. Foster was also a co-writer on six tracks of the album. One of them was "After the Love has Died" that Foster and Graydon together with Bill Champlin, won the 1980 Grammy Award.
