 After having been model, she was signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2014. She released her debut album, "Eponymous", in 2017. The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and produced eight singles, including "Be the One", "IDGAF", and the UK number one single "New Rules" and peaked at number six in the US. It was certified platinum in many nations around the world. It also earned Lipa the Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. The number one hit in the UK, "One Kiss", peaked at number 1 in the year 2018. It was also the longest-running song by an artist of female gender. She won the Brit Award for Song of the Year for 2019. In 2019, she received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist and the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for her Silk City collaboration "Electricity". Lipa's second studio album Future Nostalgia (2020) was released later in the year. The lead single, "Don’t Start Now", was released by the singer. It was a top two hit in the UK, US and fourth on the US year end chart. In 2020, it was the most commercially recognized song by an female artist. The singles "Physical", Break My Heart" and"Levitating" also charted in the top the top ten. In 2021, the US year-end charts had the track at number one. Future Nostalgia received critical acclaim and earned six Grammy nominations--including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year--and became her first UK number-one album. The album helped Lipa achieve the titles of British Female Solo Artist and British Album of the Year at the 2021 Brit Awards. Many awards have been presented to her, such as her inclusion on the Time 100 Next List (2021).
