onathan Dwight Jones (born July 19, 1987)[3] is an American professional mixed martial artist who is currently affiliated with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where he has been a part of the division of light heavyweight. Jones is a ex- UFC Light Heavyweight Champion who held the title from March to April of 2015. Jones also held the title from December 2018 to August 2020. Jones also held the interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in 2016. On November 14 2022, he was number 13 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.Jones was the youngest champion in UFC history after his title victory against Mauricio Rua at age 23. [20] Jones holds many UFC records such as titles, wins, defenses, and the longest streak of winning in light heavyweight. Jones was widely regarded as the top pound-for-pound fighter of all time throughout his reign as a champion. Jones did not stop or outscored throughout his career. His only professional loss was to Matt Hamill. This result was not disputed by Matt Hamill and UFC president Dana White.
