Lila Downs

 Ana Lila Downs Sanchez, an Mexican musician and singer was born on September 9, 1968 [11. She sings her own compositions as well as those of other artists and taps into Mexican traditional and popular music. 2 She incorporates indigenous Mexican influences into her music and has recorded songs in various indigenous languages, such as Mixtec, Zapotec Mayan, Nahuatl, Nahuatl, Purepecha, Nahuatl, Nahuatl, Nahuatl, Nahuatl, Purepecha, Nahuatl, Nahuatl, Purepecha, Nahuatl, and Nahuatl. She was raised and born in Oaxaca. She went to the Institute of Arts by Oaxaca to complete her education. She also briefly attended the University of Minnesota before deciding to focus on her music career. In 1994 she began performing in the Oaxaca traditional music scene. Downs' debut album, La Sandunga (a commercial and critically acclaimed success), came out in 1999. With Border the album that she released as her debut she achieved international recognition in 2001. The album was a huge success across Latin America and Mexico in the 2000s (decade). Pecados y milagros (2011) was her seventh album. It was a top album on the charts in all the major markets, and also topped the charts for international music albums. The album she released in her eighth, Balas y Chocolate, was released in the year 2015. The album she released in her ninth, Salon Lagrimas y Deseo was released in 2017.
