Natalie Portman

 Natalie Portman (born Natalie Hershlag, Hebrew: nT`-ly hrSHlg,[a][5][79 June 1981) is an Israeli-born American actress. Since her teens, she has had a successful career in film. She has appeared in numerous blockbusters and independent movies, and received multiple accolades like two Golden Globe Awards. At the age of 16, she appeared in The Diary of a Young Girl on Broadway in 1998. Also, she was recognized for her character in Padme Amidala (Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace) (1999). She was a student at Harvard University from 1999 to 2003 and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. Portman decreased her roles in acting but continued to appear in Star Wars prequel trilogy (2002 and 2005) and also in The Public Theater's revival in 2001 of the Anton Chekhov play The Seagull. In 2004, Portman was nominated by the Academy Award in Best Supporting Actress. She also received a Golden Globe Award for her part in Closer, a romantic drama about an unidentified stripper. Portman's career further advanced by her leading roles in films such in the films Evey Hammond in V for Vendetta (2005), Anne Boleyn in The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) and as an uneasy ballerina in the psychological thriller Black Swan (2010), where she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. She then starred in the romantic comedy No Strings Attached (2011) as well as Jacqueline Kennedy in the biopic Jackie (2016) in which she earned her a third Academy Award nomination. Portman has also featured as Jane Foster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) that made her one of the highest-paid actresses.Portman's projects as a director include the short film Eve (2008) and the biographical drama A Tale of Love and Darkness (2015). She is a vocal advocate for animal rights and environmental issues. She is the wife of choreographer and dancer Benjamin Millepied, with whom she has two children
