The public plaza is used by numerous users, such as guests, tenants of buildings and the general public. They can serve as public spaces, pedestrian areas, art spaces, relaxing areas, or security features that are not easily visible from buildings with a prominent design. Plazas can be a beneficial element in any streetscape. They are in close proximity to lobby areas. They serve as the "public image" of the building. They also help visitors to feel welcome and guided. Plazas must accommodate a range of activities, such as active or passive and unplanned activities and group or individual-oriented informal or formal formal or informal, spontaneous or planned and ones that are planned or not.
