Shailene Woodley

 Shailene Diann Woodley (born November 15, 1991) is an American actress. Woodley was born in San Bernardino (0California). She was raised in Simi valley. She began modeling at the age of four. Woodley then started acting professionally, mainly in small TV roles. She first gained prominence due to her role as Amy Juergens in the ABC Family drama series The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008-2013). After The Descendants (2011) won her a Cannes Trophee Chopard, she received nominations for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress Motion Picture and three Critics Choice Movie Awards. She then starred in the coming-of-age movie The Spectacular Now (2013), for which she won a special award at the Sundance Film Festival.Woodley received more recognition for her role in the lead role of a teenaged cancer patient in the romantic drama The Fault in Our Stars (2014) and also as Beatrice Prior in the science-fiction trilogy The Divergent Series (2014-2016) that resulted in her being nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award. She survived a sexual assault in Big Little Lies, an HBO drama series (2017-2019) in which she was nominated to the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. Also, for her performance in the Divergent Series (2014) which she starred in, she was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in a Series or Movie. She starred in critically acclaimed dramas The Mauritanian (2021) and The Fallout (2021).Woodley is also an environmental activist and is a board member of the political action committee, Our Revolution.
