Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Enzio Stallone (/st@'loUn/ born Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, July 6, 1946) is an American actor and film maker. After a long time of struggle as an actor following his arrival in New York City in 1969, as well as Hollywood in 1974 and 1974 and 1974, he received his first critical acclaim for his role as Stanley Rosiello (The Lords of Flatbush) in which he played. Stallone had a steady job as an extra or a side-character in films with large budgets until he reached his greatest commercial and critical success actor. He began his career in the year 1976, playing Rocky Balboa's boxer in the first Rocky film (1976-1999) in which he also composed screenplays. [1] In the movies, Rocky is portrayed as an underdog boxer who fights many brutal opponents and also wins the world heavyweight title twice. In 1977, Stallone was the third actor in cinema to receive two Academy Awards for Best Original Screenplay and the Best Actor. Stallone's film Rocky was included in the National Film Registry, and was able to have its props displayed within the Smithsonian Museum. The Rocky Steps were named in honor of Stallone's choice of the Philadelphia Museum of Art's entrance in Rocky. Philadelphia has an image of his character Rocky that is permanently erected near the museum. In addition, he was voted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.Up until 1982, Stallone's films were not huge box office successes unless they were Rocky sequels. None got the same critical acclaim as with the first Rocky. This changed with the success of the action film First Blood in which he played the PTSD-afflicted soldier John Rambo. First Blood was originally an adaptation of the novel written by David Morell. Stallone altered the script of First Blood during production. He would reprise the part in five Rambo films (1982-1999). From the mid-1980s through to the end of the 1990s, Stallone would go on to become one of the highest-paid actors of that era by appearing in a slew of commercially successful action films which were however generally panned by critics. The films included Cobra, Tango and Cash as well as Cliffhanger. The Specialist was an acclaimed film. The popularity of Stallone declined during the 2000s, however the actor returned to prominence in 2006 with the release of the sixth installment of the Rocky series, and then in 2008 with a fourth installment in the Rambo series. Stallone starred in the role of Barney Ross, a mercenary in The Expendables films series from 2010 to the year 2014. He was a part of Escape Plan and was also in its sequels. Stallone returned to the Rocky series in 2015 , with Creed. The films are spin-offs that center on Adonis "Donnie", the son of Apollo Creed (the ill-fated boxer who the late Rocky is an instructor). Stallone received praise for his performance, and also a first Golden Globe award for the Creed. He also got his third Oscar nomination. He is also among the most famous historical icons of physical culture.
