Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee (Chinese name Li Xiao Long Born Lee Junfan, Li Zhen Fan; November 27, 1940 - July 20th, 1973) was an actor and martial artist from Hong Kong. Lee was the first president and founder of Jeet Kune Do. This mixed martial arts concept is based on different combat styles. It is frequently considered to be the first step to the modern mixed martial art (MMA). Media, critics and martial artists believe Lee as the most influential martial artist ever. Lee is also a symbol of culture from the 20th century, who bridged the divide between East and West. Lee is famous for his efforts to spread Hong Kong action cinema, and also to change the way Asians are depicted in American films. Lee was born in San Francisco and raised by his father in British Hong Kong. The films were not focused on fighting. Lee had plenty of experience with martial arts, such as Wing Chun (taught by Yip Man) and Tai Chi boxing (winning the Hong Kong boxing tournament) and street combat (neighbourhood fighting and rooftop battles). Lee was born in America and was permitted to move to Seattle in the year 1959. He was enrolled in the University of Washington in 1961. He began to think about the teaching of martial arts as a method to earn money although he wanted to become an actor. The first martial arts academy was established in Seattle. Then he opened another school in Oakland. His demonstrations and speeches at 1964 Long Beach International Karate Championships of California attracted a lot of interest. Students included Sharon Tate and Chuck Norris. Later, he moved to Los Angeles to continue teaching. The films he made, both Hollywood-produced and originating from Hong Kong, raised the Hong Kong martial art films to a higher level and garnered a lot of Western interest. The films had a significant influence on the growth of martial arts as well as films on martial arts around the world. Lee is most well-known for his performances in five films produced by Hong Kong including Lo Wei's The Big Boss (1971), as well as Fist of Fury (722) Golden Harvest's The Way of the Dragon(72) that was written and directed by him as well as Golden Harvest and Warner BrothersWarner Brothers' Enter the Dragon (1973) as well as The Game of Death (1978) which were both written and written by Robert Clouse. Due to the way in which his films depicted aspects of Chinese nationalists, Lee was well-known throughout the world, particularly in the world of Chinese. After acquiring Wing Chun, Tai Chi Boxing, Street Fighting, Lee created his own martial arts philosophy known as Jeet Kune Do (The Way of the Fist that Intercepts) at 32 years old. Lee had a significant influence on contemporary combat sports such as karate and judo, mixed martial arts, and boxing. Lee also had a profound impact on modern popular culture, including films, television animation, comics, and cartoons. Time listed Lee as one of the top 100 influential individuals in the 20th century.
