Mack was born on July 29 1982, in Preetz, West Germany, to American parents Jonathan Mack, an opera singer, and Mindy Mack as a teacher and bookkeeper. [5][6] Her parents were in Germany at the time she was born. Jonathan was performing in Germany. They resided in Germany for two years before moving to California. In October 2001 Mack began to take on the role of Chloe Sullivan, an original character created specifically for the show. She plays Clark Kent's most beloved friend on Smallville on WB/CW. Mack has won many nominations and awards for her performance as Chloe. She was nominated for the Teen Choice Award for Best Sidekick (2006) and the 2007 Teen Choice Award for Best Sidekick. Mack was a regular cast member for nine seasons and returned to the show as a sporadic main cast member in the finale of the tenth series. Mack was a regular in the show Smallville: Chloe Chronicles from 2003 until 2006. Also, she appeared in Smallville: Vengeance Chronicles. Mack directed the episode 8 of Smallville's season 8 "Power" in 2008.
