 Christopher Maurice Brown, born May 5 1989, is an American musician, dancer actor, songwriter, and dancer. According to Billboard Brown is the most popular R&B artist of his time. [2][3] He's often been referred to as"the "King" by his contemporaries. His musical style can be described as polyhedric. His R&B is heavily influenced by other genres, including hip pop and hip. His songs are mostly based around themes of romance, sex, fast life, desire, sorrow, and emotional conflict. Brown has gained a cult following and wide comparisons to Michael Jackson for his stage presence.In 2004, Brown was signed to Jive Records, and released his self-titled debut studio album in the following year, which was then declared triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The debut single from Brown, "Run It!" was released on [9][10]. reaching the top of the Billboard Hot 100, Brown became the first male performer since 1995 to have his debut song top the chart. The second album, Exclusive (2006), was a huge commercial success. It also produced "Kiss Kiss" the second number one Billboard Hot 100 hit. In 2009, Brown pled guilty to an assault charge against his former girlfriend, singer Rihanna. Brown released Graffiti in 2009 which was his third album. The album was a failure commercially in contrast to his previous works. [13] Brown's fourth album, F.A.M.E. was released after Graffiti. Brown's fourth album, F.A.M.E. (2011) was his debut album to reach the top spot on the Billboard 200. It featured three of his most commercially popular singles "Yeah 3x", “Look at Me Now” as well as "Beautiful People". He received the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. The fifth album of his career, Fortune, released in 2012 also reached the top of the Billboard 200.
