Mariska Hargitay

 Hargitay was the daughter of Jayne Mansfield, a 1950s-era actress who worked at Providence Saint John's Health Center, Santa Monica, California. Her father was Mickey Hargitay, a former Mr. Universe who was Hungarian. Her first and middle names are Hungarian and are a reference to Mary Magdalene. (Mariska is an abbreviated version of Mary). Her family was Catholic and is the older of two brothers: Miklos, and Zoltan. 5 Hargitay was born to parents who divorced in May 1963. But the judge declared the Mexican divorce null and void. They had remarried two months before Hargitay's birth in January 1964. However, they broke up again. Hargitay's mom filed a petition with the court in August 1964, seeking to allow the Mexican divorce legal. Mansfield was married to Matt Cimber, the director who was her director in the production in 1964 of William Inge's Bus Stop. Cimber as well as Mansfield were divorced in the year 1966. 6. Mansfield was involved in an accident on U.S. Route 90, between New Orleans, and Bay St. Louis (Mississippi). Mansfield and her partner Sam Brody and the driver were killed instantly during the crash that tore the top of the car. Mariska who is now three and a half years old, lay on the bed in the rear of the vehicle with an angular mark on her forehead. Miklos and Zoltan were her siblings who were able to escape with only minor injury. Three siblings, Zoltan and Miklos, were raised by their father as well as Ellen Sian Hargitay, their second wife. Hargitay isn't a fan of comparisons to her mother, and has said that her father was Mr. Universe. Hargitay said that the earlier loss of her mother has created an "void within my own life that can never be filled." It's a difficult to come to terms with. "I will forever be a daughter who lost her mother" Hargitay, age 80 passed away from multiple myeloma in Los Angeles, California in the year 2006.
