She grew up in Encinitas (California) and began acting when she was a young girl. Her modeling debut was on the cover of the March 2012 issue of the erotic magazine treats!, which led to her appearing in two music videos: Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and Maroon 5's "Love Somebody".Ratajkowski's feature film debut was a supporting role as the mistress of Ben Affleck's character in the film Gone Girl (2014). Other roles she's played included Entourage (2015). We Are Your Friends (2015). I Feel Pretty (2018). Welcome Home (2018). In 2014 and in 2015, she appeared in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. The actress also made her debut as a professional model during New York Fashion Week 2015. Since then, she's been seen in the Paris Fashion Week runways for Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana and Versace. As a spokesperson for Planned Parenthood, she is an advocate for women's health issues. Ratajkowski is a self-described feminist who has been criticised for her views on sexuality. Metropolitan Books published her essay collection, My Body in November 2021.
