 Johnson was chosen in the first round of the 2012 WNBA Draft (4th overall) by the Tulsa Shock. In her rookie season, she was fourth in steals per game (a record-breaking 2.1 spg).In 2013, and 2014 the following year, which was her second and third seasons with the Shock, Johnson was named to the Western Conference All-Star team.Johnson in 2019Johnson sat out her 2015 WNBA season on a pregnancy leave following the announcement of her pregnancy.She returned just one month into the 2016 WNBA season following her suspension stemming from the domestic violence she experienced with Brittney Griner. [10][1111 Johnson signed a new contract during free agency following the Tulsa Shock moved to Dallas. 12 Johnson averaged 11.3 points per game over 18 games, with six starts. Johnson also recorded the league's 16th 20 point with 20 rebound in a victory against Phoenix Mercury. Johnson scored 23 points and grabbed 22 rebound. Johnson has been statistically famous for her double-doubles on points and rebounding since her debut season. On June 18 in 2017, Johnson score a season-high 27 points in an 87-83 win against the Washington Mystics. 15 Johnson was named Western Conference's Player of the Week between July 31 and August 6. 16 On the 19th of August in 2017 Johnson recorded her 13th double-double of the season, scoring 23 points along with 13 rebound in a win of 90-86 against the Atlanta Dream. In the course of the game, Johnson hit Dream's point guard Matee Ajavon, and was given a one-game suspension a few days later. [18] The Wings would finish with a 16-18 record , and the number 7 team in the league. Johnson scored 15 points in her first playoff game and grabbed 14 rebounds against the Washington Mystics. Johnson also lost to the Mystics in round one. 2018 was a difficult year for Johnson. She had some injuries that left her unable to play and forced her to sit on the bench. She played 29 games with 17 starts, and she would record career-lows in scoring and rebounding. With a 15-19 record and 8th in the league the Wings reached the playoffs. They lost to the Phoenix Mercury in the first round.
