Joe Biden

 Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (/’baId@n/(listen) BY-d@n) is an American politician, and the 46th president of the United States. He was born on the 20th of November 1942. Biden is a member of the Democratic Party and was previously the 47th vice president under the presidency of Barack Obama. In addition to being a senator from Delaware in the United States Senate, Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Biden relocated to Delaware with his family in 1953. After he graduated from Syracuse University, he studied law at the University of Delaware. After his election to the New Castle County Council in 1970, Biden became the sixth-youngest senator in the United States. He was 29 years old when he was elected to the United States Senate from Delaware in 1972. Biden was the Senate Foreign Relations Committee's chairman and the ranking member for 12 years. From 1987 until 1995, Biden was chairman or leading senator of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He also led efforts to adopt the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act and the Violence Against Women Act. Biden was in charge of the conduct of six U.S. Supreme Court confirmation hearings, including the controversial hearings concerning Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. Biden failed to win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008 and 2008. Barack Obama elected Biden to as his running mate in the 2012 and 2008 presidential elections. Biden was vice president for two terms. the vice president of Obama. Biden and Kamala Harris were able to defeat Mike Pence and Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. Biden was elected the U.S.'s oldest president and the first female vice president on January 20th in 2021. Biden as president has been able to combat the COVID-19 epidemic that caused recession. Biden has signed the American Rescue Plan Act and the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Biden has also has signed the Inflation Reduction Act. Biden has also has signed the Respect for Marriage Act. This includes legal protections codified to the United States for same-sex marriages and the elimination of DOMA. Ketanji Brown Johnson was named to the Supreme Court. Biden's foreign policy also included returning America's membership to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. Biden concluded the withdrawal from Afghanistan of U.S. troops. During this time, the Afghan government was overthrown and the Taliban were in control. He responded to the Russian attack on Ukraine in 2022, by imposition of sanctions against Russia and allowing the shipments of weapons and foreign aid to Ukraine.
