Colin Kaepernick

 Colin Rand Kaepernick, /'kaep@rnIk/KAP-@rnik;[1was born on November 3 in 1987. He is an American civil rights activist and football player. Kaepernick was a six-year member of the San Francisco 49ers' National Football League (NFL) team. He protested against police brutality in the United States through kneeling in the National Football League (NFL)'s 2016 season. In his time at college He played for the Nevada Wolf Pack and was awarded two times the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player-of-the Year. He was also the first NCAA Division I player to accumulate 10,000 yards of passing and 4,000 rushing yards in one career. Kaepernick was selected by the 49ers in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Following Smith's concussion, Kaepernick was named the 49ers quarterback of the team in the year 2012. Through the rest of the season, he served as the team's primary quarterback. He helped the team reach their first Super Bowl appearance in 1994. Kaepernick was an all-time starter in the 2013 season, and was instrumental in helping the 49ers to reach the NFC Championship Game. Kaepernick failed to make it to the NFC Championship Game during the next three seasons.
