The Undertaker

 American professional wrestler Mark William Calaway, born on March 24 1965, is more commonly known as The Undertaker. The Undertaker is widely regarded as one of the top professional wrestlers of all time,[11] Calaway has spent the majority of his professional career working for WWF/E and is well recognized for his highly well-respected "Deadman" Undertaker gimmick, for which Calaway was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022. Calaway remains employed by WWE through a 15-year contract, which was signed in 2019. Calaway started his career in 1987 and worked under various variations of gimmicks used by World Class Championship Wrestling and other affiliate promotions. Calaway was crowned USWA Unified World Heavyweight Champion as well as WCWA Texas Heavyweight Champion during this time. After joining World Championship Wrestling in 1989, Calaway had a brief time on the mid-card under the name "Mean Mark Callous" before joining the World Wrestling Federation in 1990. One of WWE's most recognizable and well-known characters, [14] Undertaker is famous for his savage, hilarious and macabre "Deadman" that has earned him the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's award for the best gimmick for a record-breaking 5 years. [16] The longest-tenured wrestler in the company's history with a tenure of 30 years. The Undertaker is among the most well-known characters of the Attitude Era, which was a highly rated and envelope-pushing era of the WWF/E in the latter 1990s/early 2000s. [17] In 2000, Calaway expanded on The Undertaker, fleshing out the gimmick with an amorphous, human-like side and the biker, and dubbed "The American Badass". Calaway revived Deadman Undertaker in 2004, with a few aspects of American Badass Undertaker remaining.For the most of his professional career, The Undertaker was observed as a central figure in WWE's biggest annual event, WrestleMania, where he became esteemed for The Streak, a string of 21 consecutive victories. The Undertaker is also well-known for his matchups with his storyline half-brother Kane and Kane, who was a recurring feud, and teamed off and on with in the form of The Brothers of Destruction from 1997 until 2020. Calaway was the winner of the WWF/E Championship 4 times, the World Heavyweight Championship 3 times and the Hardcore Championship 1 time. He also took home the World Tag Team Championship 6 times. He also took the Royal Rumble match in 2007. He is among the WWE's most popular pay-per-view stars and has headlined several pay-per-view events and events, including WrestleMania at five times. Undertaker retired from professional wrestling in 2020 . He made a farewell appearance during the Survivor Series, 30 years from his first appearance on screen for the company under the same event's pay-per-view brand. The Undertaker was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as the head inductee of the Class of 2022.
